WALDERINE K. TAYLOR, age 84 died Monday June 9, 2008. She was a native of Pikeville, Kentucky and a resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee for the past 38 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, William M. (Bill) and Tildy C. (Tennessee) Robinson Kinney; sisters, Beatrice Carr and Cleo Dudley, and nephews Frank Good and Johnny Gregory Branham. Survived by daughter, Patti Newsom (Fritz) Meyer, and son Robert M. Bob (Molly) Taylor; sister, Billie Joy and her husband, Turner Boyd, all of Murfreesboro; granddaughters, Karen (Don) Susan, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Rebecca B.J. (Jeremy) Smith, of Murfreesboro; grandsons, Eric (Ann) Smith of Arlington, Texas and Matthew (Tara) Taylor of Milton, Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Clarence Carr and Dale Dudley of South Carolina, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 8 nieces, and 5 nephews who loved her very much. Walderine was a former member of Main Street Church of Christ, Pikeville, Kentucky, East Main Church of Christ and Leanna Church of Christ, Murfreesboro and attended North Boulevard Church of Christ, Murfreesboro, with her son and family when able. She retired as a telephone operator from Bell South in Pikeville, Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee after 35 years. Her second retirement was from the Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital, Murfreesboro, after thirteen years of service in 1993. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Boulevard Church of Christ and the American Diabetes Association. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Thursday at Lucas and Hall Funeral Home in Pikeville with burial in Johnson Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Lucas and Hall Funeral Home and 5:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
