W.H. Slick Davidson Jr. age 87 of Murfreesboro died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at his home. Mr. Davidson was a native of Murfreesboro and was the son of the late W.H. and Cornelia Clark Davidson Sr. Mr. Davidson was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Harper Davidson who died in 2007. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother David Young will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Davidson is survived by a son William Craig Davidson of Murfreesboro, a daughter Diane Davidson Willis of Murfreesboro, sister Ann Lowe of Kansas, grandchildren Jessica Diane Willis and Justin Douglas Willis both of Murfreesboro, great-grandchildren Eddie Lee Willis and Amiyah Diane Willis both of Murfreesboro. Mr. Davidson was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. He was in the insurance business for over 55 years, was president of Davidson Insurance Agency, and was a member of Insurors of Tennessee. He was a former member of the Rutherford County school board, the Murfreesboro Lions Club, and chairman of Evergreen Cemetery board of directors. Mr. Davidson was a 1940 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
