W.G. Cawthon, age 85 of Murfreesboro died August 16, 2011. He was a native of Readyville TN and was preceded in death by his parents, Leffel Cawthon, Sr. and Nannie Lyon Cawthon; brothers William Burton Cawthon, Frank Cawthon; sisters Vera Ogles Lowe, Sarah Hopkins, and Mattie Grace Hunt. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Willie Belle Travis Cawthon; sons James (Vickie) Cawthon, Glenn (Susie) Cawthon, Darrell Cawthon, Gary (Holly) Cawthon; daughters Nannie Lou Davis, Annette Cotton, Angela Cawthon; brothers Roy Wayne (Cornelia) Cawthon, James L. (Martha) Cawthon, Jr.; sister Mary Goard, 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Cawthon has been an active member at Kingwood Heights Church of Christ for 58 years. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday with Bro. Charles Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Active pallbearers will be grandsons; honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons at Kingwood Heights Church of Christ. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 9:00PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
