Willeford
October 31, 1927 – November 12, 2016
Virginia F. Hines Willeford, age 89, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016. A native of Bloomington/Normal, IL, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Goldie Hines. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dick L. Willeford; half brother, Harold Hines; and sister, Delores Erdman.
Funeral services will be Wednesay at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Mike Van Horn will officiate. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Willeford is survived by her children, Terry L. Willeford and his wife Sharon of Jasper, AL, Cindy S. Fults and her husband Wayne of Murfreesboro, Laurie D. Westbrooks of LaVergne, TN, and Larry J. Willeford and his wife Debbie of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Mary Willeford, Cody Westbrooks, Erika Westbrooks, Trey Reynolds, and Tracy Davis; eight great-grandchildren, Oliver and Mason Westbrooks, Micah and J.T. Davis, and Austin, Taylor, Cooper, and Max Reynolds; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Willeford attended North Minister Presbyterian Church. She was a substitute teacher in the Murfreesboro City School System for many years and also did volunteer work with the Senior Citizens Center in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Willeford loved to bowl and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She was a tempera painter and was known for her beautiful murals of holiday themes on windows around town. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all her family and friends.
Terry Willeford, Larry Willeford, Wayne Fults, Cody Westbrooks, Erika Westbrooks, Trey Reynolds, Brian Davis, and David Mahan will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Willeford can be made to ASPCA, PAWS, or to a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
