VIRGINIA J. MELTON, age 89, died November 7, 2010 at home. She was a native of Nitro, West Virginia, and daughter of the late Edward and Bessie Baines Jividen. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Bush officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Melton is survived by her son, Jerry Tom Melton of Murfreesboro; and two brothers, Ronald (Iris) Jividen of Ohio, and Buddy ( Marge) Jividen of Eleanor, WV. Mrs. Melton was married to the late Jerry Cleo Melton. Mrs. Melton worked as a riveter during World War II. She also worked at Perkins Dress Shop in Nitro, WV, and at Bermans Jewelry in St. Albans, WV. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
