Virginia Hampton, age 85 of Murfreesboro, living at Creekside Assited Living, and formally of Nashville died Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Hampton and was a member of Tusculum Hills Baptist Church. Mrs. Hampton was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by Children, Janet Jones of Murfreesboro, James Hampton, Jr and wife Vickie of Massachusetts, sister, Beverly Parker of Oklahoma; brother, Brian McAllister of Arkansas; half-sisters, Mary Alice Smee and Linda Rich both of California, Lavone Wadley of Virginia; grandchildren, Chris Jones of Murfreesboro, Ashley Bain of Brentwood, Larissa Allison of South Carolina, Amber Dumont and Seth Hampton both of Massachusetts; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 9:00AM Tuesday at Middle Tennessee Veteran Cemetery in Pegram.
