VIRGINIA RUTH DAVIS, age 82 of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, February 12, 2010. She was a native of Daviess County, Indiana and the daughter of the late James Thomas and Anise Geneva Fields Potts. She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Ray Davis, and sister, Elenor Roe. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Tuesday, Funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Gill Chapel, Washington, IN. Burial will be in the Aikman Creek Cemetery, Daviess County, IN. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Davis of Murfreesboro, daughter, Della Dee (Gregg) Brown of Murfreesboro, sister, Alice Paugh, brother, Steven James Potts both of Washington, IN, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Davis was member of the Third Baptist Church, a devoted wife and mother, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a cook with the Glendale Schools for many years and later at Veale Elementary School in Washington, IN before her retirement.
