Virginia OBrien Campbell, age 96 of Germantown TN died Friday February 1, 2013. She was a native of Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late, James Murfree OBrien, Sr., and Virginia McDonald OBrien. Mrs. Campbell was member of Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis and 1938 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. In 1939 she went to Teach and Coach Buchanan School, that year her girls team won State Championship team. She went on to teach English and Coach the boys and girls basketball team at Murfreesboro Central High School and also taught at Smyrna High School. Mrs. Campbell received her Masters Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1960. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her daughters, Barbara Rickman and husband Mack of Germantown; Betty Tedrick and husband, Don of Canton Georgia; brother, J. Murfree OBrien of Murfreesboro, three grandchildren, Brian, Brad and Brandon Rickman; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery.
