Virginia "Gini" Ann Peay Hammond, age 72 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Monday February 22, 2016. A native of Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Elvin and Mattye Castleman Peay.

Mrs. Hammond is survived by her husband, Michael Hammond; sons, David Hammond and his wife Jennifer of Murfreesboro, TN, and Todd Hammond and his wife Chastity of Shelbyville, TN; brother, David Peel and his wife Linda of Colorado; sister, Marilyn Bailey and her husband Jack of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday February 26, 2016 with a 5:00 PM Celebration of Life at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Hammond attended World Outreach Church and was a retired Senior Service Correspondent with State Farm Insurance after 45 years of service.

Memorials may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the American Red Cross in memory of Mrs. Hammond.
