Virgie Beaty, age 75, of LaVergne, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2015. A native of Byrdstown, TN, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jane Neal Garrett; husband, Robert Beaty; son, Robert Beaty; daughter, Carla Faye Beaty; brothers, L.T. Garrett and Ken Garrett; and sisters, Vi Franklin and Margaret Smith. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Mrs. Beaty is survived by her children, Yvonne Lithgow and her husband Wayne of Rossville, IL, Carl Beaty of Florida, Ginny Sensing of Murfreesboro,TN, Pam Pajor of Smyrna, TN and Brian Beaty and his wife Lety of Indiana; brothers, Leslie "Les" Garrett and his wife Bonnie of LaVergne and Glenn Garrett and his wife Anne of Milford, IL; sisters, Sandra Priddy of LaVergne and Aleta Cain and her husband Roger of California; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Tommy and Brenda Pinkston of LaVergne and her cat, Thomas. Mrs. Beaty was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading and fishing but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
