VINCENT JOSEPH DeGEORGE, age 98, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, July 20, 2008. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Sam and Rosa Tamburo DeGeorge. Born on February 8, 1910. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tony DeGeorge. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Reverend James Kallarackan, OFM, and Deacon Peter Semich will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife: Imogene Pinkerton DeGeorge, son: Sam DeGeorge of Murfreesboro, daughters and sons-in-law: Rosa and Mark Erickson of Granite Falls, NC, Cindy and Stan Nance of Murfreesboro, Donna and Steve Sloan of Olive Branch, MS, six grandchildren: Kelsey Sloan, Joseph Love, David (Angela) Love, and Daniel (Emily) Love, Olaf Erickson and Kelen Erickson. Mr. DeGeorge was the last living charter member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He was a Crichlow Grammar and Murfreesboro Central High School graduate. He served in the US Army during WWII. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the St. Rose of Lima School Library or the charity of your choice.
