Victor G. Ristvedt, Jr, age 58, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013. A longtime resident of Manchester, he was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Ristvedt Sr and Ruby Dill Ristvedt. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Mark Gregory will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with full military rites. Mr. Ristvedt is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Julie Jamison Ristvedt; daughters, Catherine Johnston of North San Juan, CA and Allison Ristvedt of Murfreesboro; sister, Laura Ristvedt and brother, Mark Ristvedt and his wife Oressa all of Lavergne. Mr. Ristvedt was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Manchester Central High School and a graduate of MTSU where he majored in Aerospace. Mr. Ristvedt was a retired Commander with the United States Navy and was a Flight Captain with Federal Express. He was an avid reader and he loved to travel. He was proud of his Norwegian heritage and his love of flying was second only to his love of family. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
