VERNON RAY LIGHT, age 76 of Waverly, TN, died Sunday January 25, 2009. A native of Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Inan Lucille Binkley, Sr. Mr. Light is survived by wife, Jewell Lee Rayburn Light, son, Jimmy Light of Camden, TN, two daughters, Linda Light and Angie Gail Light. Mr. Light is also survived by two brothers, Gene Light Bellevue, TN and Charles Edward Light, Jr. of Hendersonville, TN, six sisters, Dorothy Hampton of Goodlettsville, TN, Evelyn Davidson of Fairview, TN, Wanda Tiebt of Brentwood, TN, Ruth Northfleet of Murfreesboro, TN, Gertrude Miller of Ashland City, TN and Joyce Quinn of Hendersonville, TN, step- son, Danny J. Vaughn of the Almaville Community and step-daughter, Barbara J. Gore of Thompsons Station, TN. Mr. Light is also survived by six step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Janet Marie Barnes officiating. Burial will be Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Light was a member of the Church of Christ, a US army veteran having served in Korea, and a retired truck driver for 34 years. He retired from Ryder Truck Lines.
