Vernon Ray Hines, age 72 died July 15, 2014 passed away at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Mr. Hines was a native of Nashville and was the son of late, Vernon and Pauline Bentley Hines. He was also preceded in death by brother, Gene Hines. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gloria Dawn Fry Hines; son, Virgil Hines of Murfreesboro; daughters, Kimberly Brewer and husband Gary of Unionville, Gina Reed and husband Doug of Murfreesboro; sisters, Evelyn Smith, Janey Brown, Sue Setliff, Patricia Orman, Elaine Gilbert; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hines was retired employee of Armstrong Ceiling and Tile. Visitation will be 3:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel
