VERGIE LOVVORN WOODSON, age 85, died Sunday, January 11, 2009. She was a native of Christiana and the daughter of the late Charlie and Allie Estes Lovvorn. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Nathan Hale, Rev. Robert Maxwell, Jr., and Richard Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, June Kay and Bob Maxwell of Murfreesboro, Cindi and Scott West of Midland, Joan and Richard Reeves of Murfreesboro, 6 grandchildren, Bobby M. (Vivian) Maxwell, Debora (Ward) Pack, Kimberli (Terry) Fisher, Rich Kelton, Christi (Jay) Bailey, and Ferarri West, and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Word G. Woodson who died in 1987, brother, Coston Lovvorn, and sister, Besse Gentry. Mrs. Woodson was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a 1941 graduate of Christiana High School. She retired from the VA Hospital in1983 after 28 years of service. She was service officer for the government employees chapter 834. Mrs. Woodson was a member of Murfreesboro Senior Citizens.
