VELVIA LUCILLE VAUGHAN age 78 of Murfreesboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday February 27, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Comer and Voltra Chumney Burks. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bud Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her daughters Velvia Marie Tune, Beatrice Hope Maxwell, Wanda Kay Hestand, Connie Yant, Sherry Vaughan all of Murfreesboro, her son Wheeler (Susan) Robert Vaughan Jr. of Atlanta, GA. her brothers Hoyt (Dot) Burks of Mt. Juliet, Edgar Ted Burks and Leon (Pat) Burks both of Woodbury and 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Wheeler Robert Vaughan Sr., two daughters Robbie Brown, Marjorie Smith, and a brother Jerry Wayne Burks. Mrs. Vaughan was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church.
