Vanada Jaylene Johns, age 54, of Smyrna, died, October 26, 2014. A long-time resident of Smyrna, Jaylene was preceded in death by her father, Jerry C. Johns and her mother, Anita Cervantes. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Smyrna. Rev. Shawn Thomas Smith will officiate. Inurnment will follow immediately after the service in the church columbarium. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Jaylene is survived by her two uncles, Ben Johns and Richard G. "Dick" Johns and his wife Lois; her aunt, Evelyn Lee and her husband Gerald; her close cousin, Nancye Johns; her special friend, Russ Benning, all of Smyrna; along with several close cousins and extended family. Jaylene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna. She was a 1978 graduate of Smyrna High School and also a graduate the Nashville Technology School.
