Valerie S. Robbins, age 89, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 26, 2016. A native of Yonges Island, South Carolina, she was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Annie Lefvendahl Smoak Sr.; husband, Breton Ruskin Robbins, Sr. and her siblings, Henry Orange "H.O." II, Watler Arthur II, Leonard Anton, Anna Delores, Walter Jesse, Louis Melton, Kenneth Lester, Ryan Lanier, Jerry Waldemar, Theodore Francis, and Betty Gay Smoak.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Flora Blackman will officiate.

Mrs. Robbins is survived by her daughter, Cindy Gossett and her husband Ron of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Breton Robbins Jr. and his wife Karen of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Dr. Rachel Robbins – McGuirk and her husband Kevin and Breton R. Robbins III; and two great-grandchildren, Bascomb Gabriel McGuirk and Holden Beckman McGuirk.

Mrs. Robbins was a member of St. Paul's Southern Methodist in Nashville, TN for many years. She was a proud and devoted member to the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of the Amaranth.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Character Quest (Children's Ministry) at World Outreach Church, 1921 New Salem Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37128.

The family would like to express appreciation to Flora Blackman, Minister and caregiver and the nurses and staff at Boulevard Terrace Rebahilitaion Facility.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
