Turner Boyd, age 79, of Murfreesboro died Friday, July 6, 2012. He was a native of Pikeville, KY and the son of the late Alex and Matilda Smith Boyd. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Monday at Lucas and Sons Funeral Home in Pikeville, KY. Burial will be in Johnson Memorial Park with Military Honors. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Billie Kinney Boyd, daughter, Janie McCormack of Murfreesboro, brother, Roger Boyd of Pikeville, KY, grandchildren, Billy K. (Angie) McCormack, Mark K. (Karina) McCormack, Sherry McCormack, great grandchildren, Adam, Skylar, Blake McCormack, and Briana Landwehr, numerous nieces and nephews, and his furry companion, Princess. Mr. Boyd was retired from the United States Air Force and Paramount Packaging where he was a Purchasing Agent. He also was a greeter with Walmart.
