Tony Mark Anderson

Tony Mark Anderson, age 68, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, fulfilling a dream of swimming in the Indian Ocean. He was preceded in death by Daphnea Jean Anderson, his wife of 42 years; father, Malcom Lee Anderson; brother, Mike Anderson; and brother-in-law, Bluker Rowden.

He is survived by his new but ever so adoring wife, Regina Anderson; daughter, Renee Anderson; son, Stephen Anderson (Anne); grandchildren, Daylan, Kadyn, Evelyn, and Arthur; mother, Jackie Haven; brother, Tim Anderson (Kim); sister, Trish Rowden; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family and close friends.

Tony dedicated over 30 years to Anchor as a welder and metal fabricator. Beyond his profession, he faithfully served as a pastor for almost 40 years, sharing God's love with compassion and a servant's heart. He embraced life with enthusiasm, finding joy in traveling, mentoring Boy Scouts (including two generations- his son, Stephen and grandson, Kadyn), and enjoying antique cars. In his later years, he took up bike riding and became an avid, skillful long-distance rider, including a 455 mile ride of the Natchez Trace Parkway in honor of his late wife Daphnea. He filled every room with song and laughter, sharing gospel music on a regular basis with residents of several Murfreesboro assisted livings. An adventurer at heart and the life of every gathering, he had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and making lasting memories. Yet, of all the roles he cherished, none meant more to him than being a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud Gramps. Tony’s deep devotion to his Lord, family, and friends will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
