Thurman Austin Davenport, age 87 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Sunday October 6, 2013. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Delta and Mae Tenpenny Davenport. Mr. Davenport is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lee Anthum DeBerry Davenport; son, Steven Craig Davenport, Sr. of Murfreesboro, TN; grandsons, Steven Craig Davenport, Jr. and his wife Jamie, and Randal Bradford Davenport, and his wife Ashley; great grandchildren, Kaylee Ann, Nicholas Chance, and David Cole Davenport; sister, Jewell Hendrix of Murfreesboro, TN, and her husband Warren; two nieces and one great nephew. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Davenport was a member of the Walter Hill Church of Christ and worked for the Teamsters Local 327 for 30 years.
