Thomas Riggs "Pete" Norris, age 98 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Friday December 8, 2017. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Charles Henry Norris, Sr. and Mary Adelaide Christopher Norris. Mr. Norris was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy "Dot" Charlotte Spencer Norris, a brother, Charles "Buddy" Norris, and sisters, Anna Margaret Cantrell and Judy Caffey.

Mr. Norris is survived by sons, Thomas M. Norris and Peter R. Norris both of  Murfreesboro, TN, and Michael A. Norris of Coco Beach, FL; grandchildren, Michael Joseph Norris and Autumn Marie Norris both of Atlanta, GA, Thomas Nathan Norris, Spencer Taylor Norris, and Abby Nicole Norris all of Murfreesboro, TN.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Saturday January 13, 2018 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon following the visitation at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A family graveside will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Norris was a US Army veteran, and was retired from sales.
