THOMAS GUTHRIE GILLIAND age 82 of Murfreesboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday April 27, 2012. A native of Marion, KY., he was the son of the late Thomas and Vancie Gipson Gilliand. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Monday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, with Brother Ken Polk and Harold Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorials Gardens. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and the honorary pallbearers will be The Emmanus Class at Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Gilliand is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Esther, daughters Karen Gilliand of IN., Pam (Michael) DePeder of Murfreesboro, Kimberly (John) Schneider of N.C., son Brian (Linda) Gilliand of IN., ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a sister Frances Jones of KY. He was preceded in death by three sisters Goldie Belt, Martha Cox, Linnie Holloman, and a brother Jerry Gilliand. Mr. Gilliand was retired from Sherwin-Williams, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1:00 until 3:00pm Monday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel.
