Thomas G. "Tom" Dodson, age 51 of Smyrna passed away Friday, February 6, 2015. He was a native of Sparta, TN and the son of the late Irene Mabe Dodson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles L. Dodson and sister, Janice M. Young. He is survived by his son, Matthew Dodson, daughter, Alicia L. Dodson, father, Arnold Dodson, all of Smyrna, brothers, Walter (Linda) Mabe and Joe Mabe, sisters, Gail (Wesley) Murks, all of Murfreesboro and Rita (Johnny) Haynes of North Carolina. Tom was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Leanna, TN. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 9:00pm Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro. Kevin Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sparta, TN.
