Thessa White Smith, age 90 of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was a native of Cotton Plant, AR and the daughter of the late George L. and Sallie Aston White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hollis Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Barry (Judy) Smith of Lascassas, daughters, Margie Moses of Shelbyville, Ava Donnell of Lascassas, Pamela Smith of Murfreesboro, brother, G.L. White of Rolla, MO, twin sister, Wanda McDonald of Memphis, sister, Naomi Whitworth of Adamsville, grandchildren, Jamie Speilman, Shannon Romans, Leigh Ann Woodcock, Wendy Laughlin, Kim Moses, Micah Moses, and Jennifer Presswood, great grandchildren, Jamie, Justus, Colin, Skylar, Stetson, Addi, Dylan, Mallory, Sarah Kate, and Johanna. Mrs. Smith was a member of Hillview Baptist Church, a US Navy veteran who served in WWII, and retired from Paramount Packaging Corporation. Memorials may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation in her memory. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00pm Saturday with a funeral service at 3:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro.
