THERON C. STOKES, age 78 of LaVergne died Wednesday June 10, 2009. He was a native of South Carolina and was the son of the late, Fred and Mary Dill Stokes Sr. He was a member of Woodbine Baptist Church and was a graduate 1961 of Clemson University. He was retired manger for Oxford Building Services, and a veteran of United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ellen Stokes; daughters, Linda (Jim) Harwell of Smyrna, Julie (Shannon) Davis of Alabama; grandchildren, Zachary Cox, Stephanie and Melissa Harwell; brothers, Fred Stokes, Jr. of Nashville, and Carroll (Janice) Stokes of North Carolina; sister, Mary (Oliver) Hill of South Carolina.
