THELMA CLARK NEAL age 93 of Lavergne, TN, died Wednesday February 2, 2011. A native of DeKalb County, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Evia Hill Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William T. Neal who died in 1994, a granddaughter, Tisha Neal, brothers, Hudson and O. J. Clark, and Lillard Dutton, and sisters, Marine Martin and Lorene Petzoldt. Mrs. Neal is survived by daughter, Astra Brown of Manchester, TN; sons, John W., James H., and Walter Neal all of Lavergne, TN, Thomas C. Neal of Donelson, TN, and David Neal of Sacramento, CA; brother, John T. Clark of Mt. Juliet, TN; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Daniel Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Neal was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and a homemaker. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151.
