Thelma Jean Cannon, age 80, passed away on July 23, 2017 in Murfreesboro, TN.  She was born in Chattanooga, TN, and was the daughter of the late Truman and Nellie Taylor of Chattanooga.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roy Lamar Cannon.  Mrs. Cannon was retired from the Tennessee Walking Horse Owner's Association after 20 years of service.

Mrs. Cannon is survived by her daughters, Angela Cannon Hayes (Michael), and Tara Adriene Cannon; and son, Roy Gregory Cannon all of Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be Monday July 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM  at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. John Hinkle, Jr. and Rev. Bobby Harding officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.   The family would like to thank the staff of  NHC for their loving care of Mrs. Cannon.
