Obituary

Tammy Lynn Lacy Sandlin, age 58 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, after a 12 year courageous battle with cancer. A native of Celina, TN and a member of the Chickasaw Tribe # 10922, she was the Daughter of William Hershel Lacy of Celina, TN and the late Joyce Moore Lacy. Tammy was also preceded in death by her Brother, William Lacy.

Tammy is survived by her Husband of 28 years, Steve Sandlin; Daughter, Savannah Grace Sandlin Delk and her Husband Randy of Cookeville, TN; Son, Wesley Douglas Sandlin of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandson, Carter Barrett Delk of Cookeville, TN; Father, William Hershel Lacy of Celina, TN; Sister, LaDonna Lacy Hix and her Husband Chris of Livingston, TN; Mother-in-Law, Edith Sandlin of Fayetteville, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at North Boulevard Church of Christ. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM following the visitation at the church with Sam Bagwell, Teb Batey, Tim Haddock, Jim Bryant, and Peter Patton officiating.

Tammy was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and Graduated from MTSU where she received her BS Degree in Food Science and Culinary Arts. Tammy was a Culinary Arts Teacher at Smyrna High School for nine years where she touched the lives of many students and staff. She received Culinary Arts Teacher of the year for the State of Tennessee.

Tammy was an advocate for Ovarian Cancer Research attending the cancer march in Washington, D.C. for a couple of years. She will be remembered for being the founder of Stuffed With Love at North Boulevard Church of Christ where she stuffed and delivered Christmas Stockings to Cancer patients all over the United States.

Memorial donations may be made to Stuffed With Love by writing a check payable to Stuffed With Love in memory of Tammy.
