Susan Clare Phillips age 74 of Murfreesboro passed away Saturday September 5, 2015. A native of Chicago, Illinois she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Michaels Lischer. She is also preceded in death by her husband; Jack E. Phillips, and her sister; Melanie Lischer. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her children; sons, Brian Phillips and his wife Becky of Smyrna, Scott Phillips of Murfreesboro, daughter; Valerie Jackson and her husband Jerry of Dallas, Texas, son Craig Phillips and his wife Cindy of Murfreesboro, and six grandchildren; Ashely Harvey, Andy Phillips, Paige Bizzell, Chad Phillips, Cole Jackson, and Campbell Jackson. She is also survived by her cousins; Ursula Smith and Pat Garland both of Murfreesboro. The Phillips family would like to thank the following doctors for their extraordinary care, Dr. Alexander Parikh of Vanderbilt, Dr. Christine Hoffman of Murfreesboro, and Dr. John Zubkus also of Murfreesboro. The family would also like to thank Alive Hospice for their care and compassion during their mother illness. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
