Sue Ragland Barron passed away on February 7, 2022 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Sue was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on January 22, 1936 to Rachel Ragland (Matheny) and John T. (Martha) Ragland, all of whom preceded her in death.

She graduated from Cookeville Central High School and Middle Tennessee State University, where she completed her B.S. and M.Ed. before becoming a career educator who touched the lives of hundreds of students and colleagues as a skillful and loving teacher.

Her beautiful singing voice graced many stages, and her featured roles at the Murfreesboro Little Theater brought much joy to family, friends, and fans of musical theatre.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Jim Barron, son Greg (Lynne) Hollingsworth, daughter Debra (Jim) Hopkins, daughter Patricia Barron, grandchildren Matt (Rachel) Hollingsworth, Emily (Colton) Gray, and Sam Hollingsworth, and great-granddaughters Hadley and Vella Hollingsworth, along with brothers Greg (Susan) Walden and Geoff (Debbie) Walden, and dearly beloved cousins and nephews. Her brother Jim Ragland also preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed.
