STEVEN ELLIS SAGER, age 59, of Lascassas, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, after a short illness. A native of Davidson County, he was the son of the late Clayton Houston and Rose Christine Talbert Sager. Mr. Sager is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Hatchett Sager, two sons, Gregory (Kristina) Sager of N.C., Andrew Kent Sager of Knoxville, three brothers, Tom (Kathy) Sager, Mark (Karen) Sager, all of Hendersonville, Ken Sager of Murfreesboro, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sager was a well respected attorney for 32 years. He engaged in the private practice of law since 1998 in association with Peter V. Hall and L. Gilbert Anglin, attorneys, in Murfreesboro. He was a member of Rutherford /Cannon County Bar Association and various other legal organizations. He also donated his time at The Salvation Army providing legal services. Visitation with the Sager family will be 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. Reggie Smith will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle. The family requests donations be directed to Alive Hospice of Nashville or any other charitable organization of your choice.
