Steven F. Oliver, age 65, of LaVergne, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. A native of Minneapolis, MN, he was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Eugene Oliver and his first wife, Carrie Lynn O'Guin Oliver.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the LaVergne First United Methodist Church. Pastor Francis D. Hennessy, III and Rev. Thomas Ward will officiate.

Mr. Oliver is survived by his loving wife, Donna Gemmell Oliver; mother, Alice June Peterson Oliver of Peachtree City, GA; children, Andrew Christian Oliver and his wife, Theresa of Linden, TN; Jennifer Oliver Branch and her husband, Robert of Nolensville, TN; and Steven Derek Oliver and his partner, Bradley Gallimore of Smyrna, TN; granddaughter, Olivia Claire Branch of Nolensville, TN; sister, Susan Ewing and her husband, Wade of Tyrone, GA; brothers, Darrell Oliver of Gulf Breeze, FL and Michael Oliver and his wife Sandy of Knoxville, TN; along with numerous loving extended family members.

Mr. Oliver was a member of LaVergne First United Methodist Church. He was a retired Dock Clerk with U.S. Cold Storage. Mr. Oliver taught Sunday school for over 30 years. He had many hobbies including reading and sports, especially hockey, football and golf. He was an avid fan of the Predators and Avalanche and also the Vikings and Titans.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Oliver can be made to the Food Pantry at LaVergne First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at LaVergne First United Methodist Church at 248 Waldron Rd, LaVergne, TN 37086.
