Mr. James "Steve" Johnson, age 69, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County, TN and son of the late Woodrow Johnson and Mary Estelle Adcock Delbridge. Mr. Johnson worked for Cummings Signs in their maintenance department. He also worked as an auto mechanic for himself in the evenings and on weekends. In his younger years, Mr. Johnson watched auto racing and enjoyed camping and going to the Great Smokey Mountains. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather to his family.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his sons, Steven "Jeff" Johnson and his fiancée Shannon and Steven "Michael" Johnson, and grandchildren, Kelsey Amanda Johnson and Kiara Jayden Reese. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Hill.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 12:00noon until 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
