STEPHEN LEE JAMES, age, 69, of Smyrna, died July 21, 2011. He was a native of Springfield, MO, and son of Anna Anderson James and the late Carroll Lee James. Visitation will be Sunday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at The Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield, MO. Mr. James is survived by his wife, Glenda James; daughter, Gale Malone of Washington DC; sons, Erin James of Germany, and Stephen James of Texas; mother, Anna James; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher James and a brother, Carroll Michael James. Mr. James was a veteran of The U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was retired from the military and was also employed with Opryland Hotel. Memorials in memory of Mr. James may be made to the charity of your choice.
