Stephen Eugene Carlton, age 38 died Saturday July 14, 2012. He was native of Rutherford County and was raise by his grandparents the late Ernest and Eunice Gardner Carlton. Survived by his birth mother Earline Layhew Barnett of Smyrna; son, Dalton Carlton; daughters, Destiny Carlton, and Dalayna Rebecca Carlton Inman all of Crossville; half-brother, Lewis Baker of Pingham, and half-sister, Elizabeth Bichon of Gallatin. Two aunts, Patsy Nabors, and Judy Hall both of Murfreesboro, Mr. Carlton was preceded in death by his father Robert Ernest Carlton. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Tommy Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Carlton attended the Baptist Church and was employed for Smyrna Logistic.
