Stacy J. Carter, age 55 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015. She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late Paul E. Johnson and Loretta Johnson of Nashville who survives her.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Buford Carter; a daughter, Lindsey Carter of Columbia, SC; a son, Clint Carter of Murfreesboro; a brother, Jeff Johnson of Lascassas, and a sister, Lori Kelly and husband Kenneth of Franklin.
Mrs. Carter was a 1978 graduate of Smyrna High School and a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. A loving mother and wife, Mrs. Carter work alongside her husband as an owner and the business manager of Sundown Builders.
Visitation with the family will be 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with graveside services following at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
A second visitation will be Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 4:00 pm until the time of memorial services beginning at 6:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. David Dunn will officiate.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Carter to Middle Tennessee Christian School, 100 E. MTCS Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
