Sisai Phaphanthong, age 60 of Smyrna, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Alive Hospice, Murfreesboro following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Savannkhet, Laos and was a son of the late Mon and Bent Phaphanthong.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Phaphanthong; two children, Edberg and Olivia Phaphanthong; three brothers, Konkeo, Khamvan, and Louan Phaphanthong; six sisters, Pha Kham Carpenter, and Lay, Dee, Kane, Tia, and Seng Songvilay; as well as many other loving extended family members and friends.

Mr. Phaphanthong was a member of the Wat Lao Buddharam Temple and he worked as a machinist.

Visitation with the family will be 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2019 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Traditional Buddhist services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with cremation to follow.
