Shirley Irene Nash, of Smyrna, TN, passed away at home on June 16, 2015, from pancreatic cancer with her family and friends at her side. She was born on August 5, 1933 to the late Scott and Irene Nash of La Jolla, CA. She was a loving mother and Nanny to her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gail H and Nathan Hudson, of LaVergne, TN and her son Brian J. Hughlett of Smyrna, TN, two grandsons, Alex and Andy Hudson and granddaughter Grace Hudson of LaVergne and a granddaughter, Maci Hughlett of Knoxville, TN. Shirley graduated from the Bishop's School in La Jolla, CA and attended the University of Redlands, Redlands, CA and the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI. She was a past resident of Knoxville, TN and had recently moved to Smyrna to be closer to her children. While a resident of Knoxville, she had been a communicant of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and a licensed insurance agent with Lonnie Jones Allstate Insurance Company. In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Lustgarten Foundation or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held at a later date.
