Shirley Carter-Solamillo. Age 94, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023. A native of St. Petersburg, FL, she was the daughter of the late Pryor William and Sadie Meador Carter. Mrs. Carter-Solamillo was also preceded in death by her husband Stanley Solamillo, her sons, Stanley, Stephen, and Michael Craddock, brothers, James Carter, Paul Arnette Carter, and P. W. Carter, Jr., and sister, Jan Elizabeth Carter.

Mrs. Carter-Solamillo is survived by her daughters, Becky Craddock, Kathy Hesh and her husband Tim, and Brenda Camaratta all of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Joe Sam Carter of Winchester, TN; sister, Irene Sain of Manchester, TN; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery with Pam Pilote officiating following the visitation.

Mrs. Carter-Solamillo was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, and retired from the MTSU University Police Department.
