Sherry Brewer Johnson, age 61 of Murfreesboro, passed away unexpectedly March 18, 2018. She was born in Murfreesboro, raised in Smyrna, and was a daughter of Carl Brewer and the late Shirley Adeline Dockery Brewer.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Michael Johnson; two children, Greg Johnson and Sara Johnson Sears and her husband Alex; her father and step-mother, Carl and Marilyn Brewer, all of Murfreesboro; a sister, Kitty Waggoner and husband Steve of Pendleton, SC; two brothers, Terry Brewer and wife Cynthia of Woodbury, and Mark Brewer and wife Diane of Murfreesboro; two granddaughters, Lily Adeline Sears and Kaitlyn Avary Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and other loving family.

Mrs. Johnson was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister who loved gardening in her yard and treasured her time with her granddaughter, Lily. She was a faithful member of Wilson Creek Primitive Baptist Church and she retired as a medical records transcriptionist from the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center after thirty years of service.

Visitation will be Tuesday night from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Graham Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with her nephews serving as pallbearers.
