Shelbie Jean Connally, age 77, of Antioch, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2015. A native of Clinton, NC she was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford J. and Frances Emmanuel Brewington; husband, Charles Connally; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Bill Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Connally is survived by her sons, Franklin Brooks of Oregon and Spencer Brooks and his wife Angela of Smyrna, TN; step son, Monte Wayne Connally of El Reno, OK; step daughter, Charlotte Oates and her husband James of Lawton, OK; sister, Maglean Bullard; three brothers, Elvin, Ben and Ralph Brewington; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Connally was a member of LaVergne Baptist Church. She loved attending church and being a loving and devoted grandmother. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
