Sharon L. Mount Grandstaff age 76 of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday October 9, 2015. A native of Heath, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Mary Mount. She is also preceded in death by her husband Douglas L. Grandstaff and sister; Nancy Wince. Sharon graduated from Newark High School in 1957. She attended Tarkio College, Missouri for two years and later received her Bachelor's degree from Otterbein University in 1965. Upon graduation, Sharon taught elementary school for thirty years in the Johnstown and Lakewood local school districts. Mrs. Grandstaff is survived by her daughters; Amy L. Bentley and her husband Wesley of Newark, Ohio; Jennifer L. Grandstaff and her partner Lisa Eischeid of Murfreesboro, and sister, Wendy Dudte and her husband Conway of Mississippi. Sharon was a devoted wife of 46 years and a kind, loving and caring mother to her two daughters. Sharon will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Grandstaff was a member of Heath United Methodist Church in Heath, Ohio. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 6:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation will also be held at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home in Newark, Ohio Tuesday from 12:00 noon until time of memorial service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, Ohio.
