Obituary

Sharon Bennett born February 27, 1958 in Lexington, N.C., age 56 went to be with Jesus following complications related to a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Bobby and Louise Peek. She is survived by one brother, Richard Peek of Orlando, Floridia, who donated stem cells to Sharon during her cancer treatment. She is also survived by her husband J. David Bennett of 35 years and two sons, Joshua Daniel Bennett of Clarksville, Joseph Carl Bennett and wife Rachel of Murfreesboro. She also had adopted family members Toney, Aster, and Sharon Grace of Pakistan and Bamilo and Thelma of Philippines. Sharon graduated from Ragsdale High School and from Belmont University with a degree in Social Work and Psychology. She worked for Nashville Veteran Hospital, Miller Medical Group, Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, Bethany Christina Services, American Red Cross, Heaven Sent Children, and Served as a Salvation Army board member in Rutherford County TN. Sharon served with her family as a Baptist Missionaries in Singapore, and lived and served in Saudi Arabia. She was an active member of Gideon's International Auxiliary of Murfreesboro West Camp, and Northside Baptist Church. Her request is that person knows Jesus as their personal savior. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Wednesday at Woodbin Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Online guestbook is available at www.woodfinchapel.com
