Scott Nelson, age 63 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Alive Hospice, Murfreesboro. He was a native of Murfreesboro and was a son of the late Larry "Bud" Laws Nelson and Dorothy "Dot" Marlin Nelson.

Survivors include his siblings, Steve Nelson and wife Sally, Linda Woods and husband Bob, and Jay Nelson and wife Nancy, all of Murfreesboro; nephews, Laws Nelson of Nashville, Nelson and Carter Pinkston both of Murfreesboro, and a niece, Denise Jones of Longmont, Colorado; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Scott was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro and was a 1973 graduate of Oakland  High School. In his early years, he enjoyed training harness horses with his father. Scott most recently was involved in real estate and automotive sales. His favorite pastime was enjoying weekends at Center Hill Lake.

Scott's wishes were to be privately interred alongside his mother at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
