Mr. Scott Joseph Minnick, age 45, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Wabash, Indiana to Ron and Joanne Minnick. Mr. Minnick was a 1991 graduate of Oakland High School. He received his HVAC certification from Tennessee Technological Center. Mr. Minnick was a heating and air installer for 17 years with Roscoe Brown. His last 5 years of employment were with Yates at Nissan in Smyrna, TN. Scott's health declined and he became disabled 2 years ago.

Mr. Minnick is survived by his parents, Ron and Joanne Minnick of Murfreesboro; children, Justin Minnick and Alandria Minnick of Rockvale, TN; brother, Mark Minnick and his wife Becky of Milton, TN; nieces, Taylor and Haley Minnick of Milton; mother of his children, Cindy Merritt of Rockvale; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Indiana and Virginia.

Scott spent his last years enjoying his children. He was an avid catfish fisherman and spent many hours fishing on his pontoon boat with his buddy.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Frank Lipetri will officiate. Burial will take place in Milton Cemetery.
