Obituary

Saveng Vongsavath, age 83, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on November 26, 2017. He was a native of Laos and served as a Colonel in the Lao Army where he assisted the French and US Army during the Vietnam War. He later retired as a teacher from Riverdale High School.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Keota Vongsavath; children, Sittisack Vongsavath, Jaro Vongsavath, Dara Luong, Rattana Phathanak, Praseutsack Vongsavath, Sourisack Abe Vongsavath, Phonphet Xay Vongsavath, Amanda Thepsouvanh, Khongkhan Vongsavath, Manivone Maney Phomahaxay, Feunkeo Vongsavath, and Chris Hodge; brother, Jarat Mana Vongsavath; brothers-in-law, Leuak Cao, Ky Khenkhamlane; sister-in-law, Thoume Dethphommathet; 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
