SARAH ALLEN JENKINS, age 76, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital. She was born in Wilson County and was the daughter of the late Lee & Mattie Lou Christian Allen. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Walter Jenkins; daughter, Melanie Haynes and her husband Ken of Christiana, Tn.; son, David Jenkins of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Nathan and Ashley Haynes of Christiana, Tn. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Saturday at North Blvd. Church of Christ with David Young, John Risse and Julian Goodpasture officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be 4-8 pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the North Blvd. Church of Christ, a member of the Colonel Hardy Murfree Chapter of the D. A. R. , a retired office manager with Gulf Life Insurance Company and retired as secretary at North Blvd. Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Jenkins may be made to the Building Fund at North Blvd. Church of Christ. Elders and Deacons of North Blvd. Church of Christ, Jim Estes, Wash Powers, Carl Adkins, J.
