She is survived by daughter Sharon Fitzgerald and her husband, Lendell; daughter Kelly Hanna and her husband, Kevin; grandchildren Kathleen Fitzgerald, Kristen Hanna and Kyle Hanna; and a number of dear nieces, nephews and friends, including her friends at AdamsPlace Assisted Living, with whom she shared many a game of bingo and rummikub. Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her parents, Ulus L. Sr. and Daisy Farris; her husband, Henry Buford Holt; Suzanne, her infant daughter; and six beloved brothers. Born on Feb. 22, 1926, Mrs. Holt was a native of McNairy County, Tenn., and one heck of a basketball player during her high school years. She retired from Traders National Bank in Tullahoma as branch manager in 1992. Thats when she moved to Murfreesboro to be near her daughters and relish in the birth of her three grandchildren. Mrs. Holt was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Tullahoma for decades and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro at the time of her death. The family offers its gratitude to the staff of Assisted Living at AdamsPlace, the critical care nurses at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, Dr. Warren Langworthy and Dr. Lisa White for their skill and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the music ministry at First United Methodist Church, 265 W. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. At Mrs. Holts request, a short graveside service will precede the burial on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma with the Rev. Thad Austin officiating.
