Sarah Anne Halliburton, Col. Ret., age 75, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, February 17, 2013. She was a native of Houston County, TN and the daughter of the late William Andrew and Alice Pauline Parrott Halliburton. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Kenneth Halliburton, Sr. Funeral service 11:00am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. She is survived by her brother, John Parrott Halliburton and his wife Shirley, sisters, Betty Jean McKenzie, Martha Pauline Cook, and Linda Bell Halliburton, all of Murfreesboro, nieces and nephews, James Robert Halliburton, Lt. Col. Ret., Kathy Marie Haithcote, William Kenneth Halliburton, Jr, Sherrie Kay Halliburton, Kristie Valletta, Trevor Lynn Cook, Paul Andrew Cook, Eric Esten Cook, Gregory Fite, Hunter Fite, and many other loving family and friends. Col. Halliburton was a graduate of the University of Texas with her PhD in Education. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served the US Army Nurse Corps for 26 years. After her retirement, she served her community by involving herself in the Rutherford County Food Bank and Meals on Wheels for nearly 20 years. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Halliburton, Ken Halliburton, Hunter Fite, Chase Pendergast, Greg Fite, Eric Cook, Paul Cook, Trevor Cook, Don Hatmaker, and Bobby McKenzie.
